Sara Flores

Sara Flores began her dance training at the age of 3 at a local studio in the suburbs of Chicago.  She was a member of their competitive dance team and attended competitions and conventions throughout the country.  During her high school years, she began student teaching and by college, she was invited as a staff instructor. Recognizing her passion for dance education through her early experience, Sara attended Columbia College Chicago where she graduated with a Bachelor of the Arts in Dance Teaching.  While a student at Columbia, Sara had the opportunity to focus her studies in the disciplines of Cecchetti Ballet, Horton, Graham, and Cunningham Modern techniques, Chicago Jazz, and more.  Her experience in both performance and choreography were showcased in several main stage pieces at the Dance Center and Columbia College Chicago’s Manifest.

With 20 years of dance education experience with competitive dance studios, Sara continues to share her knowledge of dance with students across Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland. Her specialties include technique and choreography in contemporary, modern, lyrical, jazz, and ballet. M2 Dance Center welcomed Sara to the staff in 2022 and she continues to work with the studio competition team, honing their skills and choreographing competitive solos, duets, trios, and groups.  She also has welcomed the opportunity to choreograph for Clark Middle School in the 23-24 season. She believes that dance training teaches students more than just technique with valuable lessons and skills that follow them well into adulthood.

Outside of the studio, Sara is the Membership Director at Briar Ridge Country Club in Schererville. She has been married to her husband for 7 years and they welcomed a fierce and sassy little girl, Oliviana, in 2022.
