Danzforce is a non profit 501 (c3) organization.
Danzforce offers young girls and boys between the ages of
5 and adulthood quality educational and performance experiences.
Founded in 1999, Danzforce's objective is to develop personal
character through challenging physical, emotional, mental,
and social activities while promoting the values of dedication,
hard work, and commitment to a team effort.
Since its early beginnings in 1999, Danzforce has expanded its
membership from 12 dancers to over 100 dancers. In the midst of this growth,
Danzforce has won 12 national titles, numerous regional titles, and been featured
on USA and Fox Sports. As one of the fastest growing all-star programs nationwide,
Danzforce is recognized by its peers as one of the top all-star programs in the country.
IDF Parent Association
The Danzforce Parents' Association permanently
enrich the lives of young people through a commitment to youth
development and performance excellence while providing enjoyment
for our local community and audiences nationwide. Entirely
community-funded, the direction of Danzforce is guided by
a dedicated and unified effort of volunteer parents and a
professional teaching staff, who work in close harmony with
the young members to create and maintain a proud, responsible,
youth organization.
Danzforce currently offers five national teams. We are currently
compiling a list for dancers to participate on our recreational
teams. Interested dancers should contact our office at 219.365.9449
to have their name added to the list of potential team members.

WHAT IS DANZFORCE
NATIONAL TEAM? Danzforce offers young men and women between the
ages of 5 and adulthood quality educational and performance
experiences. Founded in 1999, the Danzforce's objective is
to develop personal character through challenging physical,
emotional, mental, and social activities while promoting the
values of dedication, hard work, and commitment to a team
effort. Danzforce teams travel each year to the national championship
WHAT IS DANZFORCE
REGIONAL TEAM?
Regional teams are true to the danzforce curriculum with a
few minor exceptions. These teams do not compete nationally.
Because of this, the expense and time committment is greatly
reduced. These teams are perfect for the dancer whose wants
to gain experience in preparation for audition for their high
school or middle school team while enjoying the fun curriculum
of dance teams
WHAT IS DANZFORCE
RECREATIONAL TEAM?
Recreational teams are similar in structure to our national
and regional teams. The primary differences is time and cost.
Our recreational teams do not compete. They are designed to
give you the experience of participating on a dance team,
without the travel expenses and time committments normally
associated with competition. These teams are perfect for the
dancer whose wants to gain experience in preparation for audition
for their high school or middle school team while enjoying
the fun curriculum of dance teams. Exhibition performance
may be arranged for our recreational teams.
DO YOU
HAVE POSITIONS FOR MALES AND FEMALES? All of our teams are open to male and female dancers.
HOW MUCH
DOES IT COST? It's no secret that competitive dance and cheerleading
is not a inexpenseive sport. Because of uniform and travel
expenses, the total amount can run fairly high. The good news
is that all-star dance and cheerleading are growing fast and
more and more large championships are coming to Indiana. This
is helping in keeping the cost to travel down.
Danzforce does
its best to keep overall costs at a minimum and with our incredible
fundraising opportunities it is possible to earn your entire
year's tuition and expenses through fundraising.
Tuition ranges between
$80.00-$90.00 per month depending on how often your team practices
and if an additional class is included.
Travel and Uniform
expenses four our national teams were $1,700.00 for the 04-05 season.
If you research other nationally ranked teams, you'll discover our
expenses are as much as $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 less than other nationally
ranked teams. Please call and speak with a team representative before
deciding you simply can't afford competitive dance or cheerleading.
There are thousands of dollars of scholarships available along with
many fundraising opportunities. Regional team travel and uniform
expenses are projected to be a minimum of $700.00 less than our
national teams. Recreational teams do not have travel and uniform
expenses.
WHERE
DO WE TRAVEL? In prior years we have traveled to Illinois, Ohio,
California, Florida, and throughout Indiana. Plans are underway
to include Michigan and Kentucky to our list of states we
visit. The expenses listed above include all travel related
expenses. A list of expenses covered is available at M2.
HOW MUCH
TIME DOES IT TAKE? Each competitive team practices from 3 to 6 hours
per week. The more advanced and competitive a team is the
more they are likely to practice. In addition, most dancers
and cheerleaders take additional classes and private lessons
to better themselves for their team.
Rehearsal schedules
are set in May and rarely alter to allow families time to
plan other activities and vacations.
HOW OLD
DO YOU HAVE TO BE? Danzforce makes an effort to form teams for as young
as 1st grade through college. Last year we offered a junior
prep, junior, senior and pro team for our dancers. New for
the 04-05 season will be a youth team for dancers 3rd grade
and below.
CAN I
DANCE OR CHEER FOR MY SCHOOL TEAM? Danzforce does not have a policy that restricts dancers
or cheerleaders from participating on their school team. We
actually encourage dancers and cheerleaders to do both. Because
all of our instructors were on their school teams, we have
a tremendous relationship with many of the school team coaches
in our area. Just let us know what school you are currently
dancing or cheering with, and we will do our best to coordinate
your all-star team's schedule with your school team.
ARE AUDITIONS
SCARY? Absolutely not! In fact they are a lot of fun. We
do our best to place everyone on a team and no one will ever
have to audition by themselves for an individual score.
Auditions are
run like a big practice. Individuals are evaluated on their
enthusiasm, technical skills, attention span, and general
love for dance or cheerleading. After auditions are completed,
the staff forms teams according to age, ability, potential,
previous years experience and attitude.
WHEN
ARE AUDITIONS? Auditions are typically held in April. Each team
has different dates and times so make sure you keep an eye
on our website for updates. www.m2dancecenter.com
WHAT
HAPPENS IF I MISS A FEW DAYS OF AUDITION? We do all we can to schedule
around other school or church activities but, sometimes we
understand conflict may arise. If you really want to be part
of our program and have the skills to participate, we will
make every effort to make arrangements with you to audition
at a different time. However, once teams are set and choreography
has begun it will become difficult to revise our teams. It
is always best to communicate in advance of the audition to
work out your conflict with us.
