Although the M2 Dance faculty provides its students
with a uniform technical dance foundation steeped in classical and
ballet and jazz disciplines, the studio encourages students to explore
a diverse, broad education. M2 Dance Center's teachers are trained
in variety of styles ranging from the Vaganova and Checetti schools
of ballet, to Chicago's own Giordano's jazz, as well as early American
modern disciplines including Martha Graham and Lester Horton. Beyond
the classical and modern education, many of M2's teachers have competed
and have also been a part of championship dance teams that enables
them to provide a fresh dance vocabulary including today's popular
hip hop and funk styles. Strong in technique and versatile in flavor,
M2 Dance Center prides itself of providing students with proper
dance technique, but more importantly giving them the skills to
adapt to any choreographer, dance school, company, or style.
